Emptiness, meaningless, and loneliness are three of the greatest social issues of our time.  And all three contribute to the high suicide rate we have in America - according to some the highest in the world.  Why is it that the richest, most powerful nation in the world would also have the highest suicide rate in the world? Could it be because we have forgotten God? Without God the world leaves us empty. Nothing it has to offer can fulfill our deepest needs. And without God life has no meaning. We live, we die; but for what purpose? And if we only live for ourselves we can become very lonely, and many people have. It is knowing God that fills us, gives us a reason to live, and brings us into community. When we come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and are filled with His Spirit we are no longer empty. We begin to realize that we have a reason for living, and we come to understand that there are other people dealing with the same doubts, fears, hopes, and dreams that we have. We discover we are not alone. It is in the Church, the Body of Christ, that we are able to share these things. We invite you to come and worship with us. Bring your hopes and dreams with you; and yes even your doubts and fears. Believe me you will be welcome.
